Sha, sha-ba-da, sha-ba-da-ca, feel good. In GORILLAZ, Werchter Boutique has once again snared a top name for the 2022 edition.

GORILLAZ are singer 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, guitarist Noodle and drummer Russel Hobbs. A virtual band created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. GORILLAZ are a rock-solid live act. The virtual foursome is accompanied by an extensive and multi-talented group of musicians.

GORILLAZ make for a joyous live experience and are therefore a perfect fit for Werchter Boutique.

The BRIT and Grammy Award winning band’s subsequent albums are Demon Days (2005), Plastic Beach (2010), The Fall (2011), Humanz (2017), The Now Now (2018) and Song Machine – Season One: Strange Timez (2020). A truly global phenomenon, Gorillaz have achieved success in entirely ground-breaking and unique ways, touring the world from San Diego to Syria, Montevideo to Manchester and winning numerous awards including the coveted Jim Henson Creativity Honor. Next year’s one-day festival takes place on Sunday 19th June 2022. STROMAE has already confirmed his attendance. More names will soon be added to the bill.
