Ghost, Jinjer, Antti Tuisku & more for Finland’s Provinssi Festival 2023

The first artist announcement for Provinssi Festival in Finland that takes place from the 29th June – 1st July features GHOST and ANTTI TUISKU and is complemented by a diverse coverage of domestic and international names from VV to YONA and from ARCHITECTS to JINJER.

The Swedish band GHOST, known for its spectacular theatrical live show, has become a favorite of the arena class all over the world with its music that shamelessly flirts with elements of hard rock, metal and even pop. Led by its mysterious and charismatic soloist Papa Emeritus IV, the ensemble broke sales records with its long-playing “Impera” released in spring 2022, becoming number one in Finland as well. The band, which is one of the most sought-after international performers by fans of Provinssi festival, visited Finland for the last time for a sold-out gig at Nokia Arena in April of this year!

Finland’s biggest pop star, ANTTI TUISKU, completes the domestic headlining lineup. Provinssi has the honour of offering a stage for the penultimate concert of the singer, who will end his career as an artist after the summer of 2023.

Domestic know-how is also served by the heavy sensitively atmospheric VV. The “Loveletting” single released in the spring of Valo, one of the country’s most internationally successful artists of all time, gave a foretaste of the “Neon Noir” debut, which will be released in early 2023, which has echoes of the musical heritage of both HIM and Agents.

The international program is strengthened by ARCHITECTS, charged with intense live energy. The British metalcore band, making their long-awaited return to Provinssi after 2017, just released the new album “The Classic Symptoms of A Broken Spirit” via the renowned Epitaph Records. The heavier genre is also represented by Ukrainian metal favorite JINJER. Operating as cultural ambassadors of their home country, the quartet is known for their uniquely versatile and heavy sound, the latest example of which is the fourth studio album “Wallflowers”, released a year ago.

The program released so far is completed by the all-time favorite APULANTA, who has risen to number one on the official Finnish album chart, and GETTOMASA, one of the top names in Finnish rap, RUUSUT, who plays with open-minded electropop, respected and uncompromising singer-songwriter YONA and ANNA PUU, who is preparing her new, long-awaited album.
