Finland’s largest Rock Festival Rockfest announces new bands and daily program!

At Hyvinkää Airport from Thursday to Saturday 2nd – 4th June 2022, Rockfest is announcing a big pile of new performers and a daily program!

Rock music legends IRON MAIDEN, the German hard rock mammoths SCORPIONS, US metal band MEGADETH, the Scottish band BIFFY CLYRO and the pride of Finland’s exports, the symphonic metal band NIGHTWISH, will perform at Rockfest next summer.

The rock orchestra BRING ME THE HORIZON, last seen in Finland a couple of years ago, have recently released a new single called DiE4u. THE RAVEN AGE, who released the album Exile in September, and the electronic rock duo WARGASM, who just released the song Shut Up together with Death Blooms, have also received an invitation to Rockfest in 2022!

Rockfest’s high-profile offerings are complemented by the American heavy metal band, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY starring Zakk Wylde, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, a mix of death, thrash and hardcore in Finland, Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris’ BRITISH LION band and Behemoth country cameraman and his blues project ME AND THAT MAN. Norwegian blood at the festivals will be represented by the stonerpunk line-up in BOKASSA and KVELERTAK!

Among the domestic bands, the audience of Rockfest is entertained by the thrash-metal band LOST SOCIETY, the metal legend AMORPHIS, which draws inspiration from Finnish mythology, and MOON SHOT, who were born from the membership of Lapko, Disco Ensemble and Children of Bodom. URSUS FACTORY, the garage duo of Jussi Pelkonen and Aleksi Ripat, whose flag of the best live band has been placed on the shoulders, also carries the flag of our country in the festival program.

In addition to the program, the event will feature a unique festival area. The organisers Nelonen Media Live has developed the area in cooperation with the City of Hyvinkää. It will serve a wide range of heavy music lovers in the best possible way, taking into account different service needs. More than 60,000 visitors are expected to Hyvinkää Airport next year. An unprecedented VIP area is also being built in the area.

The city of Hyvinkää has made big investments in Hyvinkää Airport so that we can provide a great festival setting and comfort. The VIP area will be an experience in itself, not to mention the catering.
