WXPN, the non-commercial, member-supported radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, today announced the artists who will perform on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 at its 2019 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru. The annual three-day festival will take place Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28 at Wiggins Park and BB&T Pavilion, located next to each other on the Camden, New Jersey riverfront.
In partnership with promoter Live Nation, WXPN will present ELVIS COSTELLO & THE IMPOSTERS and BLONDIE in evening performances at BB&T Pavilion on Saturday, July 27. Artists who will perform at Wiggins Park that day include ST. PAUL & THE BROKEN BONES, THE WOOD BROTHERS, LOW CUT CONNIE, J.S. ONDARA, SISTER SPARROW & THE DIRTY BIRDS, CAROLINE ROSE, THE McCRARY SISTERS, ALI AWAN and THE VAUGHNS.
Then on Sunday, July 28 the following artists will perform at Wiggins Park: AMY RAY BAND (Indigo Girls), GUSTER, KATHLEEN EDWARDS, GREGORY ALAN ISAKOV, DAVE HAUSE & THE MERMAID, LUCY DACUS, THE WAR AND TREATY, RUSTON KELLY, SEAN ARDOIN, RFA, and ZEEK BURSE.
The XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru is WXPN’s signature annual concert event that draws audiences from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, Mid-Atlantic region, and Northeastern US. Now in its 15th year at Wiggins Park and 8th year at the adjacent BB&T Pavilion, WXPN produces the family-friendly XPoNential Music Festival in partnership with the Camden County Board of Freeholders.
The XPoNential Music Festival features the expertly curated mix of established and new artists enjoyed by WXPN members and listeners. The preferred summer music event is known for convenient access via public transportation, natural amphitheaters that produce great sound, plenty of activities for kids, extensive food, drink and vendor selections, and festival seating and riverfront promenades that offer spectacular views of the Delaware River and Philadelphia skyline.
