New at Werchter Boutique 2020: ELLIE GOULDING!

An amazing third name joins the bill at the one-day festival on Saturday 20th June in the Festivalpark. The next edition’s headliner is TAYLOR SWIFT. It was also previously announced that 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER would also be there.

ELLIE GOULDING is one of the leading ladies of British pop. ‘Imagine Björk, Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) sharing a flat in the trendy London neighbourhood of Shoreditch,’ is how a music magazine once described her. And that sums her up perfectly!

ELLIE GOULDING makes vibrant, danceable sing-along music with meaningful lyrics. Her outstanding soprano voice is the icing on the cake. It’s no wonder that Goulding was an immediate hit when she started out. She quickly made the top of The Sound Of 2010, the British music press’ annual talent list. Her debut album ‘Lights’ (2010) entered the British chart at number one. ‘Burn’, ‘How Long Will I Love You’, ‘Outside’ (with Calvin Harris) and ‘Love Me Like You Do’ (from the soundtrack to ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’) are her biggest hits in this country. She has also had hits with Kygo (‘First Time’) and Diplo and Swae Lee (‘Close To Me’). Did you know that ’River’, her cover of the Joni Mitchell song, was the Christmas hit of 2019 in the UK?

Ellie’s last concerts in Belgium were back in 2016, when she sold out the Antwerp Sportpaleis and later drew a massive crowd at Rock Werchter. It’s high time for the return of Ellie Goulding.
