Duran Duran to headline Jelling Festival in Denmark

The festival can today reveal British band DURAN DURAN as the festival’s international main name, their show at Jelling festival will be the band’s only Danish performance in 2020.

The last weekend in May, vocalist Simon Le Bon, bassist John Taylor, keyboardist Nick Rhodes and drummer Roger Taylor will play on the festival’s big stage in front of and audience of 35,000.

I am extremely proud that we have got Duran Duran for Jelling. It is a band with a fantastic catalog of songs and is one of the UK’s most significant bands over the last 40 years. Duran Duran is in top form and the concert at Jelling will be their only performance in Denmark in 2020

For four decades, DURAN DURAN has had an impressive and influential career with more than 100 million albums sold, 18 American hit singles, 21 UK Top 20 songs and concerts in front of huge crowds worldwide. Their latest album, “Paper Gods” from 2015, gave the band their highest hit list rankings in 22 years and was hailed by critics and fans as their best album in two decades. The album is produced by Grammy Award winner Mark Ronson and Nile Rodgers, along with Mr. Hudson and Josh Blair – and the album featured collaboration with Janelle Monáe, John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Kiesza and Danish Jonas Bjerre (Mew).

DURAN DURAN made a massive breakthrough in the early 1980s and then became a world name whose innovative blend of music with art, technology and fashion has proven to be a timeless band that has managed to reinvent itself several times in its career.
