Download has for years been one of Britain’s favourite festival events, with appearances by the greatest and most popular rock bands and metal icons. Now, Download Germany is premiering at the Hockenheimring with METALLICA on 24 June 2022. And the message for all fans is clear: this will be the best and most impressive hard ’n’ heavy music experience of all!

Download Festival Germany offers the authentic metal genre a new home in the Hockenheimring’s legendary Motodrom. At the end of June, up to ten top acts will be performing on a gigantic double stage.

To kick things off, the organiser, Live Nation, has managed to book the ultimate rock band as the headliner: METALLICA – playing their only concert in Germany next year at Download Germany as part of the release of their newly remastered Black Album.

Together with other absolute rock heavyweights like FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and SABATON (both 2022 festival exclusives in Germany!) as well as an expected attendance of over 70,000, Download Germany is looking to leave a powerful and lasting echo.

Alongside festival tickets for the infield, Download Germany is also offering access rights to the south stand. Infield tickets in the first price level cost EUR 139 including parking and presale fee. Festival tickets for the south stand are available from EUR 159 including parking and presale fee.
