The DEFTONES have long outgrown their nu metal tag. Ever since they started out, this alternative rock band from Sacramento has been going down two parallel paths. For one, they never stopped releasing hits, and for another, they have tested the boundaries of music by incorporating elements of psychedelia and shoegaze into their music. With seven studio albums and over 10 million albums sold worldwide, it’s hard to find another band that has struck such a perfect balance between beauty and aggression.
“Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost” is the name of the latest 2-part album released by FOALS, which marked the most successful era in the band’s career. “Part 1” debuted as #2 on the charts, was nominated for a Mercury Prize and won the 2019 Q Award for Best Album.
