South Facing Festival is a brand new open air concert series taking over Crystal Palace Park this summer, featuring 12 headline music performances and a host of free midweek events for the whole community.
Today the festival announces its second wave of shows, with two days of live music and DJs curated in collaboration with Brixton’s jazz, funk and soul fiesta Cross The Tracks, a special day fest from Bad Vibrations and Heavenly Recordings, and a mega 5th birthday celebration from Worldwide FM. Amongst the artists playing the shows are MASEGO and NUBIYAN TWIST (Full Steam pt 1), CORINNE BAILEY RAE and CYMANDE (Full Steam pt 2), SLEAFORD MODS and BAXTER DURY (Sleaford Mods All Dayer) and KRUDER & DORFMEISTER and THE COMET IS COMING (Worldwide FM), plus many, many more.
The shows join South Facing’s already impressive lineup of headline performances from DIZZEE RASCAL & THE OUTLOOK ORCHESTRA, THE ENGLISH NATIONAL OPERA (ENO) performing a concert of Tosca, MAX RICHTER, SUPERGRASS and THE STREETS.
The genre-spanning series will run from 5-31 August 2021 in the park’s iconic open-air concert stage, the Crystal Palace Bowl, which has previously hosted some of the world’s biggest artists (Bob Marley, The Who, Pink Floyd).
