CBHQ is at fever pitch, because it’s finally here, 2022, the year Camp Bestival’s Shropshire shindig bursts into life! A mind-blowing distillation of everything that makes Camp Bestival the very finest family festival, you’d be mad to miss the baptism of brilliance that is the inaugural line-up for Weston Park this 18th – 21st August.

It’s been so exhilarating to announce a new festival and always exciting to announce the first line-up. Camp Bestival is not a straight up music festival – its a living, breathing art, food, wellness and theatrical extravaganza over 4 days where the tiny leftfield acts playing are as important as the heavy hitting headliners like Fatboy Slim and Becky Hill. Throw in a stunt motorbike and fire field, world beating comedy, laughter yoga, a huge emphasis on dressing up, inclusivity and accessibility for all and we literally cant wait to unveil it all in August. Cementing his place as Camp Bestival’s favourite son, FATBOY SLIM heads up the myriad musical treats that also include the deeply resonant RAG’N’BONE MAN and chic chanteuse BECKY HILL as headliners. Ensuring there is utter excitement for all ages at all times there is plenty of family fun with Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors, Brainiac Live: Remixed!, amazing tricksters Extreme Bike Battle, CB royalty Mr Tumble and Mister Maker & Rebecca Keatley. Plus, there’s a host of good times on offer from Family Silent Discos and The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show to Cosmic Kid Yoga, Yolanda’s Band Jam, Kung Fu For Kids, a dazzling fireworks finale and much, much more.

This year I’m thrilled to join Camp Bestival as it takes up residence in Shropshire for the very first time. People be prepared to enjoy festi-love, dancing and laughter for the whole family in a way that only the Camp Bestival goers know how.

Even more amazing music across the weekend comes courtesy of EXAMPLE, SARA COX, MAE MULLER, SHED SEVEN, FAITHLESS (DJ SET), SCOUTING FOR GIRLS, THE PROCLAIMERS and HEATHER SMALL among many others. Plus, a smorgasbord of long-time Camp Bestival faves including JODIE HARSH, ELVANA: ELVIS FRONTED NIRVANA, THE CUBAN BROTHERS, DUB PISTOLS, BEANS ON TOAST, MR MOTIVATOR and many, many more.

DOM JOLY leads the comedy and spoken word delights, and there are circus antics from Farm Yard Circus, Circus Raj & The Grand Indian Art Bazaar, Gorilla Circus Trapeze School and more. Reconvening with nature couldn’t be easier at earthy arena Wild Tribe where you can enjoy The Big Build, Swing Theory & Zip Lines, Delve into the Stone Age, Bushcraft Village, the Robot Junkyard, and lots more. While healthy pursuits among the greenery include Water & Stone Wild Spas, Ice Baths, Wild Swimming, Paddleboarding, Breathwork & Yoga, a Sleep Retreat and more besides.
