One of the most long-awaited rock events in Bulgaria HILLS OF ROCK 2022 continues to add new names to the program for its release next year. The team of the festival, which will be held between July 21st and 23rd on the Rowing Canal in Plovdiv, does not stop working with full force and optimism for a real rock summer and finally – the fourth edition of HILLS OF ROCK in 2022.

Organisers remind you that the confirmed headliners on the first day of the festival, July 21st, are SLIPKNOT – one of the largest and most current metal bands in the world, and on July 23rd – SABATON!

The groups that will play on the three stages scheduled for next year – Main Stage, Music Jam and In the Dark, currently number a total of 38 bands, but new names are to be added to the program of HILLS OF ROCK 2022.

Among the new additions are the Swedish symphonic power metal band MAJESTICA, whose frontman is the guitarist of SABATON – Tommy Johansson. The group was formed in 2000, but until 2019 it is called ReinXeed. They changed their name to MAJESTICA after signing with Nuclear Blast Records and have two albums – Above The Sky (2019) and A Christmas Carol (2020).

Besides them, come MISTER MISERY – horror metal band, again from Sweden, created in 2018. By mixing expressive guitar riffs and melodic choruses, their sound borders on old school rock’n’roll and aggressive modern metal, which together create their unique sound. From Italy comes the third new name for next year’s program – NIGHTLAND. They play melodic death metal, and the band is led by organiser and composer Ludovico Cioffi. TENSIDE is a metalcore groove band from Germany, formed in 2004, with serious experience and discography behind them – seven albums and hundreds of European and world tours, the last – with Killswitch Engage, Trivium and Bad Wolves.
