After a decade of showcasing both local New York talent and world-renowned dance music acts, Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival (BEMF) makes its triumphant return October 3-6 2018 for its milestone 10th edition. Touching down for four nights across some of Brooklyn’s finest venues, the festival is pleased to announce its full lineup as well as welcoming Nina Kraviz, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Mount Kimbie, Dj Hell, Breakbot and more top electronic artists from the borough and around the world.
Spanning across nine venues in the hippest Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bushwick, Gowanus, Greenpoint and Williamsburg, one of the festival’s major venue partners in 2018 is the Avant Gardner. Known for its unique events and massive spaces, the two indoor industrial event areas the Great Hall and the Kings Hall, will host stellar shows with house and disco favorite Motor City Drum Ensemble. Representing some of New York’s finest, Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival has invited the legendary François K, Founding father of Deep Space and Body & Soul to join Sublimate’s Sagotsky, and Solarplexia’s Seth Magoon to round out the billing for the Friday, October 5 show.
On Saturday, October 6, ReSolute will take the reins at the iconic venue bringing top-notch creative production elements to the night. Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival-goers can expect a dramatic expanse of layered hypnotic visuals to complement the diverse palette of house, techno, and acid slated from the stellar lineup with Nina Kraviz at the helm.
From DIY beginnings to now occurring at major venues, this independent festival continues to expand the conversation of music and our cultural experiences in Brooklyn. We hope to always continue to push the envelope and support the artists of Brooklyn.” – BEMF Founder, Jen Lyon
