A really strong quart of fire-hot names is joined by four names for Magicbox as well as SIGRID and the winners of the P3 Prize – THE MINDS OF 99
A total of 10 names are put on the Tinderbox 2019 poster today, and the new additions feature four sharp names for Magicbox, two exciting new pop stars, two strong rock bands, a rapper and one of the world’s most popular DJs.
LIL UZI VERT will soon hit a billion plays on Spotify with the number “XO Tour Llif3”, which is his first solo hit after taking first place in the American hit list along with Migos and “Bad and Boujee”. During a comedy-like career, he has already collaborated with Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Future and Travis Scott, and since his shows are equally part of the puncture-inspired death sentence and popped trap, one can look forward to wild experience along with one of the hip hop’s hottest names now.
American BILLIE EILISH has already collaborated with both Khalid and Vince Staples and has obtained either gold or platinum plates for the singles “Ocean Eyes”, “Bellyache”, “Lovely” and “When the Party’s Over”. The songs from her debut ep “Don’t Smile at Me” have been streamed more than 1 billion times on Spotify, and looking at how she interacts with her fans online, it is not too much to call it 17-year-olds. songwriter both an enormous talent and something of a sensation. Her upcoming concert in Store Vega has been sold out for a long time, even though the debut album still lets wait for her, so there will be high expectations for her first Danish festival show.
There are many who love to say that the rock is dead. But it is GRETA VAN FLEET – twins Josh (vocals) and Jake (guitar) Kiszka, the younger brother Sam Kiszka (bass, keyboards) and drummer Danny Wagner – completely indifferent. The band has converted their very varied musical background to a captivated mix of rock ‘n’ role with tastes of metal, pop, blues and grunge, which is the result of many years of work in the rehearsal room and good moments in a very musical family.
Since their Danish concert debut last year, it has gone really well for the band. They released the debut album “Anthem of the Peaceful Army” in October, which has secured them four Grammy nominations, and their forthcoming concert in Tap1 in Copenhagen has been sold out for a long time.
GRETA VAN FLEET is the most successful new rock band for many years, and their engaging rock will surely do well in the Millennium Forest.
There will definitely be a bang when DIPLO goes on stage until June. One of the wildest concerts at Tinderbox ever was delivered in 2015, when Major Lazer in the first year of the festival created an extremely entertaining party. Now the popular DJ returns to Tusndårsskoven, and as he showed last summer, he can easily deliver the party on his own. Soundvenue gave six stars for recent Danish performances (“I have never seen such a well-executed and mercilessly effective DJ set as Diplo’s NorthSide show.”), And if you know DIPLO right then there is another phenomenal experience in store for the summer.
In fact, the ability to create a party binds all ten names together in this publication, and it is also very much what one can expect from the four latest names for Magicbox – DZEKO, EDX, FAUSTIX and LOUD LUXURY. Just check “Body” with the latter or “Jackie Chan” with Dzeko, both of which have more than 350 million plays on Spotify. There are stone-safe bangers who will no doubt fill the floor on the Tinderbox’s club scene.
Norwegian singer songwriter SIGRID has not released his first album yet, but it will be made on March. The winner of BBC Music Sound of 2018 has, however, already had a series of hits including the title number from the upcoming album, “Sucker Punch”, and “Don’t Kill My Vibe”, both of which have been P3’s inevitable. So Sigrid is well on his way to becoming a really big star, who will definitely attract many to his first concert at Tinderbox.
The last name in artist release is one of the strongest Danish rock names right now, and with the release of the “Sun King”, THE MINDS OF 99 has extended the impressive line of hits with the songs “Young Knife”, “All Disappears Over Time” and “K Before honesty”. For this reason, the band was able to receive the P3 Prize last week after their most successful year to date. The Danish Quintet’s empathy on the stage has been both fascinating and engaging since the beginning, and based on the number of guests who had wished for a reunion with the band in Odense, their concert becomes part of an opening piece.
The Tinderbox 2019 program now looks as follows: A$AP Rocky, Benal, Billie Eilish, The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Dropkick Murphys, Dzeko, EDX, Faustix, Gnags, Greta Van Fleet, LOC, Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, Loud Luxury, Lydmor, Macklemore, The Minds of 99, Sheryl Crow, Sigrid, Skunk Anansie, Suspekt and Swedish House Mafia.
