After several months of silence and work in the shade after the success this past summer, Dreambeach Festival is back to announce the first name for its 8th edition, which will be held from August 5th to 9th, 2020 at its usual location in Villaricos-Palomares, on the coast of Almeria. The news has been known this noon: the first headliners next year will be DIMITRI VEGAS & LIKE MIKE, the world’s number one DJs.

The announcement comes less than 48 hours after the coronation of this energetic Belgian duo as the new kings of world dance culture. On Saturday night, the duet consisting of brothers Dimitri and Michael Thivaios – their real names – received their award in Amsterdam as number one deejays at the annual gala.

Thus, DIMITRI VEGAS & LIKE MIKE are once again considered by the fans to be the best on the planet after obtaining that award for the first time in 2015 and knocking out Martin Garrix from the top, who had won the last three editions.

The Belgian duo is having a triumphant year. They have just finished off an intense summer with their weekly ‘Garden of Madness’ party at Ushuaïa Beach Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in Ibiza. In the midst of their trips around the globe and spectacular performances at Tomorrowland, Ultra, Lollapalooza and other great festivals, they have had time to release several singles that have left their mark on the dance floors, as is the case of ‘Repeat After Me ‘, a collaboration Armin van Buuren and W&W; ‘Selfish’, a pop anthem with R&B dyes alongside singer Era Istrefi; and his hooligan collaboration with the Paris Hilton diva, ‘Best Friend’s Ass’.

Dreambeach, the largest annual electronic music event in Spain, takes a blow with the signing of the new numbers one and thus responds to the great expectations of fans, who had been squeezing the festival on social networks for weeks to reveal to his first headliners. This past August, the event left an unbeatable taste, 160,000 people enjoyed 5 days of music, audiovisual magic, beach and friends in their best edition to date, both from an artistic, organisational and environmental point of view.
