Bastille confirmed for Rock Werchter Festival

A new top name for Rock Werchter 2019 has been announced – BASTILLE will visit the Festival Park on Thursday 27th June. That will be a nice reunion, AND a big party, because BASTILLE’s frontman Dan Smith gives himself completely to create a great live show.

BASTILLE entered the pop arena with huge ambitions in 2012, and with their fourth single, ‘Pompeii’ (2013), they joined the big boys. That earned them a notable first performance at Rock Werchter’s KluB C. Within the next 12 months they arrived as the Brit Awards’ 2014 Break-through Act and stepped up to the Main Stage at Rock Werchter. Since then, Brit band Bastille has sold close to 10 million albums. Anthems like ‘Laura Palmer’, ‘Good Grief’ and ‘Happier’ (featuring Marshmello) have racked up a couple of billion streams.

The magic ingredients? Dan Smith’s boundless energy, pure live entertainment and total dedication to the fan base. ‘Doom Days’, their third album, is due for release later this year. ‘An apocalyptic party album’, says Smith.

Rock Werchter 2019 takes place from Thursday 27 June to Sunday 30 June at the Festivalpark in Werchter. Tickets can be purchased via ticketmaster.be.

More names will be announced very soon.
