Aurora to play Øya Festival in Norway on the 15th August

AURORA will be the last artist to perform on Øya festival’s biggest stage in 2020. Organisers are looking forward to a wonderfully atmospheric concert with a unique artist.

AURORA is one of the biggest Norwegian pop successes of recent years. She has released three strong albums, several radio hits, had huge streaming numbers and there is great interest internationally. Within a few years she has performed at huge festivals, popular TV shows and she has toured on most continents. AURORA is experiencing success as far from home as Australia, Mexico and Brazil, and is filling much larger concert venues abroad than in Norway. The debut album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend (2016) gave her a huge audience. She has followed up in 2018 and 2019 with the two-part Infections Of A Different Kind (Step 1) and A Different Kind Of Human (Step 2).

Last time she played Øya Festival, in 2016, Dagsavisen wrote: – When “Conqueror” literally conquered the audience by storm in the end, there is still no doubt that Aurora is the big name for the future. Much because of good songs, even more because she is herself, demonically good at her best.

AURORA has contributed on the new Chemical Brothers album, in a total of three songs. At the moment, Into the Unknown is rising on the singles lists in the UK and the US. This is a duet with Idina Menzel from the movie Frozen 2.

The album shines with crisp production, a dynamic of extremes and Aurora’s unflinchingly confident performance and message.
