Amon Amarth, Nightwish & more for Rock Fest Barcelona 2020

One of the biggest phenomenons of metal in the past 20 years, Swedish band AMON AMARTH, will bring the biggest show of their career to Rock Fest Barcelona. In the middle of the “Berserker” tour, the most acclaimed record of their history until now and with a production up to the level of the biggest legends of the genre, AMON AMARTH is coming to Can Zam with one of the most spectacular concerts ever at the festival.

Born in the Swedish town of Tumba in 1992 and with melodic death metal as their calling card, the band is formed by the imposing vocalist Johan Hegg, guitarists Olavi Mikkonen and Johan Söderberg, bass player Ted Lundström and new drummer Jocke Wallgreen. The band has reached the heights of their career with respected magnum opus of the genre such as “Versus the World” (2002), “Fate of Norns” (2004) and “Twilight of the Thunder God” (2008), aside of the most recent “Berserker” released this year.

With a show full of fire, hydraulic platforms, inflatables, vikings, pyro and songs of such stature as “Guardians of Asgaard” or “Pursuit of the Vikings”, AMON AMARTH’s show will be one of the most awaited for at the 2020’s edition of the festival.

The world’s biggest symphonic metal band, Finland based NIGHTWISH, will be joining Rock Fest Barcelona 2020. The festival, held from July 2nd to July 4th 2020 at Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet adds another great name to an already stellar bill.

With a career that starts in 1996 and has its first big peak with the release of 2004’s successful “Once”, NIGHTWISH have brought symphonic metal to a wide audience thanks to hits such as “Nemo”, “Wish I Had an Angel” and “Élan”. With songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen and the majestic voice of Floor Jansen at the front, NIGHTWISH will come to Rock Fest Barcelona with a new and highly anticipated new record under their belt. A new record that will be the starting point for another world tour that will stop exclusively at Rock Fest Barcelona as the only Spanish date. NIGHTWISH join as star studded bill with the already confirmed Kiss (on their farewell tour), the 50th Anniversary show by Judas Priest, the farewell of Lynyrd Skynyrd and UFO and a exclusive show by Accept in Spain.

More bands added as well as NIGHTWISH, the festival will have Scottish pirates ALESTORM on the bill. The band, who had great success on their last Spanish tour, is now back at Rock Fest Barcelona to make a big party out of it. Also, legendary Japanese metallers ANTHEM will come to Spain for the first time at Rock Fest Barcelona. One of the most influential Japanese bands, whose first record was released in 1985, will show the best of their career spanning four decades of pure heavy metal.
