Massive, modern, metal! These are the keywords for the band AMARANTHE. Signed by the Finnish label Spinefarm Records, they released their self-titled debut album in April 2011, which took the world by storm. The album received high rankings in both Sweden and Finland and became the 84th most played album within all genres on Spotify. In total, they have released seven studio albums, 16 singles, hit #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart three times, and their music has been streamed over half a billion times and received 118 million views on YouTube.

The band was formed by Olof Mörck, Joacim “Jake E” Lundberg in 2008, but the project really took off when singers Elize Ryd and Andreas Solveström and bassist Morten Løwe Sørensen joined. They were then called Avalanche until 2009.

You can describe AMARANTHE‘s music as metal with elements of electronica. But their various albums can be classified within different genres such as pop metal, melodic death metal, metalcore, symphonic death metal, power metal and more.

In June 2023 they will be in Gävle, Sweden to play Atlas Rock Festival 2023
