A$AP Rocky & Kali Uchis confirmed for Super Bock Super Rock festival 2020

A$AP ROCKY is one of the most disruptive names on the hip-hop scene worldwide. But the path was not always easy for Rakim Mayers, his father was arrested when he was only 12 years old and soon after that, his brother was killed. These were some of the wounds that would eventually influence his commitment to music and his own artistic personality – art gained a major importance for Rakim.

Influenced by UGK’s southern style and his hometown heroes, hip-hop groups The Diplomats, A$AP ROCKY managed to rise form Harlem and went to New Jersey where he began to rap more seriously. He’s been part of a collective called A$AP Mob since 2007 and that’s where he got the first part of the war name he would come to adopt for the rest of his career. Shortly thereafter, some of his songs came up on YouTube as well as a lot of buzz around his immense potential. “Peso” and “Trilla” were some of the songs that began to get everyone’s attention. This was followed by the mixtape “Deep Purple” and even before releasing his first album, A$AP ROCKY was already nominated for some major awards, such as the BBC Sound of 2012.

His first album, “Long. Live. A$AP”, released in 2013 featured collaborations from Santigold, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lama and Yelawolf. His second album “A.L.L.A. (At Long Last A$AP)”, would come two years later. The album was produced by Danger Mouse and Juicy J and featured collaborations from FKA Twigs and Lykke Li. His third album, “Testing”, released in 2018 brings together several references besides rap, all the way to contemporary art. More ambitious than ever, A$AP ROCKY is an artist capable of going beyond hip-hop, integrating other arts and forms of expression without every denying the ground where his strongest roots lie. “Praise the Lord (Da Shine)” (ft. Skepta) and “Purity” (ft. Frank Ocean) are some of the strongest songs of this album. Save the Date. July 16, Super Bock Stage in Super Bock Super Rock.

Listening to KALI UCHIS, we reinforce the belief that pop music is still quite capable of surprising and overwhelming us. Singer, songwriter, producer and even director of her own videos, there are no closed avenues for KALI‘S artistic personality!

She grew up in Virginia, USA, and soon began to nurture her musical qualities, learning to play saxophone and piano as a teenager. In 2012 she edited her first mixtape: “Drunken Babble”. In the months following her fame exploded with singles such as “Know What I Want”, “Lottery” and collaborations with names like Snoop Dogg, Tyler, The Creator and Major Lazer. Three years later, in 2015, would come the first EP, “Por Vida”, with productions by Diplo, Kaytranada and Tyler.

With r & b, regga and even jazz influences, KALI is both pop and disruptive. In 2017 she was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance thanks to “Get You” with Daniel Caesar and for a Latin Grammy Award for Song of the Year thanks to “El Ratico” with Juanes. After this process of maturing and consolidating her own artistic language, KALI felt ready to edit her debut album, Isolation, in 2018. Critically acclaimed (8.6 at Pitchfork, five stars at NME, four Rolling Stone, Q and The Independent), the album delighted audiences with singles “Tyrant” with Jorja Smith, “Nuestro Planeta with Reykon” and “After the Storm” with Tyler, the Creator and Bootsy Collins.
