VAMPIRE WEEKEND are the latest confirmation for the 13th edition of NOS Alive. The New York band will go to NOS Stage on July 12th to present the long-awaited new long-running, which the band itself is already finalised and will be revealed soon to fans.
One of the fastest indie rock bands ever to see world success, they are considered by many to be a classic case of “love the first album”. In 2008 they broke the tops of the most important worldwide radio stations, with the debut album of the same name. Topics such as “A-Punk”, “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa”, “Mansard Roof” and “Oxford Comma” stayed in the mouths of the world and guaranteed the band a very strong legion of fans.
After the success of the group’s first three albums, “Vampire Weekend” (2008), “Contra” (2010) and “Modern Vampires of the City” (2013), the New York trio left an appetite for much more. Ezra Koenig in several interviews already revealed some details of the next studio work and were presented five themes last August in Chicago, in a peculiar way, with the singer to put a mobile phone in the microphone, ending with the band playing the full one of the new themes.
