Skunk Anansie confirmed for Sonic Park Stupinigi 2019 in Italy

SKUNK ANANSIE is a British music group whose music has been called an amalgam of heavy metal and angry, “black” and feminist protest music, with politicised lyrics and hybrid influences like funk, blues, punk rock, reggae and hip hop. The group consists of singer Skin (Deborah Dyer) and Cass (Richard Lewis) on bass and second vocals, Ace (Martin Kent) on guitar and choirs and Mark Richardson on drums and second voice.

The group was formed in 1994 and was dissolved in 2001, and then reformed in 2009.

In 2009 the band reformed for a tour, publishing a best of album with three unreleased tracks, SMASHES & TRASHES. In September 2010 the fourth album from the band, WONDERLUSTRE, is released, preceded by the single “My ugly boy”. The record, first in Italy, has a following: WONDERLUSTRE TOUR EDITION, which also includes six live tracks recorded during the tour.

SKUNK ANANSIE will play Sonic Park Stupinigi (Turin) on the 5th July 2019
