SATYRICON is a Norwegian black metal band founded in 1991 in Oslo. The core members are Sigurd “Satyr” Wongraven – leader, main composer and songwriter – and drummer Kjetil-Vidar “Frost” Haraldstad. During concerts the band performs with session musicians.

SATYRICON plays black metal combined with traditional heavy metal motifs, constantly testing the boundaries of the genre. The group was the first Norwegian black metal band to join a multi-national record label EMI.

And in August 2019 SATYRICON hit the stage at Helliad Festival in Poland!
