Jera On Air 2023 may only be on the agenda in 34 weeks: there is reason enough to eagerly look forward to the 29th edition of the alternative festival in Ysselsteyn – PARKWAY DRIVE, RANCID, MESHUGGAH and THE GHOST INSIDE are just a few of the more than thirty bands that are already known to be coming to North Limburg next year. Also confirmed are HATEBREED, SICK OF IT ALL, THE AMITY AFFLICTION, FEVER 333, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, LORNA SHORE, MALEVOLENCE, LANDMVRKS, H2O, RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR, STRAY FROM THE PATH, THE MENZINGERS, ANY GIVEN DAY and POLARIS.

Regular visitors are used to it by now, but in 2023 you can again enjoy the very best in alternative music for three days during Jera On Air. On Thursday 22nd June, the entrance gates to the festival and the campsite will open wide, after which thousands of fans can look forward to their favorite punk, hardcore and metalcore bands!

PARKWAY DRIVE has been one of the very best in the latter genre for years. Not least because of their energetic live shows, where fireworks are guaranteed. Both literally and figuratively. Singer Jonathan Vigil of THE GHOST INSIDE can compete with his colleague Winston McCall of PARKWAY DRIVE in terms of voice and now also in terms of name and fame. The Americans experienced every band’s worst nightmare in 2015, when their tour bus collided head-on with a truck. Both drivers lost their lives and some band members were seriously injured. Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk was even in a coma for ten days and lost his leg. Like Tkaczyk himself, THE GHOST INSIDE came back stronger than ever after this drama.

‘Time Bomb’, ‘Ruby Soho’ and ‘Radio’, three outright punk classics from one and the same band: RANCID. The punks, who are not averse to a touch of ska now and then, have been seen for more than thirty years as innovative, catchy and the best the genre has to offer. “Catchy” is not a term that will be associated with MESHUGGAH very soon. The metal veterans from Sweden are melodic, inimitable too. Led by Jens Kidman, they know how to delight millions of fans worldwide.
