Heartland Festival organisers are adding a number of strong names to the music program for the 2023 edition of the festival. Experience the American singer-songwriter JACK JOHNSON, the big beat legend FATBOY SLIM, a number of strong Danish names such as NIK & JAY, ANDREAS ODBJERG, MØ, GANGER and PRISMA as well as the Iranian-Dutch multi-artist SEVDALIZA at Heartland next summer.
American singer-songwriter JACK JOHNSON will be visiting Heartland next summer. Since his debut in 2001 with the album “Bushfire Fairytales”, he has distinguished himself as one of the best exponents of acoustic pop and surf rock. Through his relevant lyrics and pleasant sound universe, the former surfer manages to take the listeners out into the waves, where Johnson is at his best. Because in addition to music, JACK JOHNSON is also deeply committed to the climate movement, where he especially tries to focus on the challenges in our shared marine environment. He has also done this through several films that he has starred in, directed and composed music for.
Experience big beat legend FATBOY SLIM at next year’s Heartland festival. 59-year-old Norman Quentin Cook has performed under more than 20 different aliases, but he is probably best known under the alias FATBOY SLIM, under which he appeared for the first time in 1996. Along with The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim was one of the forerunners behind the big beat wave that took place in the 90s. He particularly distinguished himself with his second studio album “You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby”, where you will find new classics such as “The Rockafeller Shank” and “Praise You”.
A huge party is planned when NIK & JAY hit Heartland on Thursday 8th June. It’s almost 4 years since NIK & JAY have played at the country’s festivals and it is therefore with great pleasure that we can welcome the two hitmakers. With a gigantic catalog of hits and a beautiful stage show, NIK & JAY will sprinkle magic dust over the audience when they come to Egeskov Slotspark. They promise to turn up the love, the music, the party, the rest, the community and the warmth.
The megastar MØ returns to Heartland for the first time since his critically acclaimed concert in 2018. Since then, MØ has released two studio albums, most recently “Motordrome”, which was released in January 2022, from which hit singles such as “Live to Survive”, “Brad Pitt” and “True Romance” has already become part of most people’s sing-a-long repertoire.
More to come soon!
